I am now in my 31st year of teaching at St. Mary in Brockville, where I have been for the duration of my career. This year our school has adopted a rotary timetable. I am full time in the classroom teaching English to the 7 Immersion, 7 Core and 7/8 Core classes. In addition to my classroom responsibilities I am also involved in coaching the elementary cross country in the fall and helping run our school Harrier Race. As well I will organize our annual school track meet and coach the Crusader track and field team in the spring.
I have a strong belief in and passion for incorporating technology in the school. A vibrant school is a school where students are engaged in meaningful assessment tasks. I am by no means a "tech expert", but challenge myself to learn along with students in finding creative ways to use new technology in the class. With challenge comes opportunity and growth.
In my time outside of school I enjoy working out, biking, fishing, and improving my skills as a photographer. Summer days will find me in the pool with family and friends or on the water enjoying the Thousand Islands and surrounding area.
“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” \William Butler Yeats
